Hello
Hi! I’m Teddie from Guided Growth Therapy. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders. I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to draw strength from difficult situations and past trauma, but sometimes people need a little extra help or guidance on their journey and that’s what I’m here for!
On a personal level, I would describe myself as an animal lover, creative, and fun-loving. I love being in nature, camping, traveling, spending time with family, playing board games, and hanging with my horse (his name is Biscuit).
My Background and Approach
My journey into the field of mental health began at Kenyon College, where I studied Psychology and conducted research on how media affects children. I also spent one year studying Clinical Psychology in Dublin, Ireland and a few months in Boston conducting more psychological research at Tufts University. I headed home to New Mexico in 2015, where I completed my MA in Educational Psychology followed by a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore difficult emotions. I believe that everyone has the capacity for change, and my goal is to empower you to find your inner strength. With a background in Psychology and a passion for research, I use proven evidence-based techniques to help you achieve your goals.
My passion for helping others stems from a deep belief in the power of therapy to transform lives. Each individual's story is unique, and I am committed to providing personalized care that respects your experiences and perspectives.
I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to tailor my methods to your unique needs. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or life transitions, I am here to support you with empathy and understanding. I work with people of all ages, including children and adolescents. I specialize in the treatment of trauma-related disorders and anxiety disorders.
